The Text Window function in Now Playing opens a small window,
typically the same height as a standard window title bar; this window displays
information about the track that is currently being played.
Double-clicking the text window "buttonizes" it in the top right
corner of the active window or restores original size.
The text in the window can scroll, remain static, or auto-scroll (scroll
only if the string to be displayed is too big to fit in the window).
The window can be moved by dragging it with the left mouse button.
Window width can be changed by dragging its side.
Window can be manually refreshed by left-clicking it.
The window can be borderless.
The window can auto-resize to the displayed text width.
The window position can be frozen, so it doesn't follow the active window.
The
window provides quick access to player functions, Now Playing functions,
clipboard functions, and more, via its context (right-click) menu.
Additional
functions may be accessible through the text window in the future, upon request.
In regular (not frozen) mode, the text window will not be shown in these
cases:
QCD is active window
QCD child is active window
Active window is completely obscured by other windows
(unless default position is set)
Text window will not fit in active window (unless default
position is set)
There is no active window (unless default position is set)
QCD is not playing or playlist is empty, and the appropriate
setting is active
In frozen mode, the text window will not be shown in
these cases:
Now Playing configuration is active window
QCD is not playing or playlist is empty, and the appropriate
setting is active
